What is JocoProxy?
JocoProxy is an iPhone client that connects through a SOCKS5 or HTTP CONNECT proxy you configure.
Does JocoProxy provide proxy servers?
No. JocoProxy does not sell, provision, or operate proxy servers. You bring a proxy you are authorized to use.
Which proxy protocols are supported?
JocoProxy supports SOCKS5 and HTTP CONNECT. HTTP CONNECT carries TCP traffic and does not carry UDP traffic.
What does optional analytics receive?
Only after you opt in, JocoProxy sends seven product event names with app version, build, app language, proxy protocol, coarse connection result or duration, and diagnostics-export initiation. It never sends proxy hosts, ports, IP addresses, profile names, credentials, URLs, DNS queries, traffic content, raw errors, or diagnostic contents.
How do I disable analytics?
Anonymous product analytics is off by default. You can turn it off at any time in JocoProxy Settings; new events stop immediately.
Why does iOS ask to add a VPN configuration?
JocoProxy uses Apple's Packet Tunnel API to route device traffic to the proxy you selected. iOS labels this system capability as a VPN configuration even though JocoProxy does not provide a VPN or proxy server.
